Cemetery Sun @ Harlows

I got invited to join Cemetery Sun on a trip to LA last summer. We played Sayers Club, one of the coolest smaller venues in recent memory. LA has more than a few of those I'd assume. I'd consider Hotel Cafe another in the same class, if that helps put it in perspective. Reason I mention it is because the experience itself went into this piece, or my vision for this piece. After playing bass with 'em live and practicing with 'em they come off to me as classy, passionate, and ambitious, like a Tarantino film, like a movie poster (like Sia? I don't know, I've just had that Chandelier song stuck in my head for a bit).

I've been friends with the guitarist Jesse for a couple years, ever since we discovered each other's solo music. And both being active musicians in Sacramento at the time, we hit it off. We toss around ideas of creating something together musically, and for now, with this, we got to do that sort of thing to a lesser degree than we might in the future. I'm also intrigued by I Am Strikes, one of the openers for the show. I got to perform with Kelly and her band early last year at an incredible venue that's recently been shut down, and she does not dissappoint. Needless to say, I have some heart invested in this one, I'm happy I could do it, and... uhhhh...that's it, here it is.
Thanks for the visit.
